Additon to Existing Stock problem in case of Batch Mgmt

Former Member

Hi,

We are implementing WMS in one of our plants, and putaway

strategy

used - Addition to Existing Stock. control table of Storage Type

-

Addition to Existing stock- Yes, Mixed Storage - Yes, Capacity

check

Method-4, Addition to Existing stock in Material Master - Yes.

But

the problem is that when we are receiving one material with

differnt batches

in wms, system is allocating different bins to the

material, however we want

to put different material with different

batches in the same bin reason being we are having more than 6000 sku

with us and it is not possible to allocate

separate bin for each sku,

and each sku having more than 200 batches.

Our

requirement is, when the full capacity of the bin is

utilised, then system

should allocate next empty bin to the material

code.

Please suggest how to

achieve it.

Thanks and Regards

Rajeev Gupta

Do you always have enough empty bins?

We had a similar situation, but do not have empty bins most of the time.

We are just using open storage strategy, with mixed storage  unlimited allowed and capacity check 4.

But using as well storage sections  and storage types to limit the bins that can be filled with a certain material.

Hi,

We are not using SU Management and mixed stock indicator set in stock type control data.
