Logic to calculate Pending Duration after Rescheduling

Dear All,

I have planned an activity with work of 100 Hrs, Normal duration = 11 Days.

Now when i confirm the activiyt for day Hour (start 1st Sep and end also on 1st Sep) and reschedule PROCESSING DURATION  (in date tab for the activity) reduces to 10 Days.

Now i do another confirmation for one day with start date as 5th Sep and end date as 5th Sep, and reschedule now system updates PROCESSING DURATION to 6 DAYS, where as it should update processing duration to 9 days.

So to calculate processing duration system considers start date of first confirmation and end date of last confirmation, where as if there are no confirmation in between first and last confirmation system should not consiser these days.....??? is it possible??

Experts,

I think system alwasys consider start date of the first actiity confirmation and end date of last activity confirmation to calculate PROCESSING DURATION (which is available on date tab of the activity).

Is there any user exit etc to change this behaviour, i want system to consider only the effort confirmed and not the "start date of the first actiity confirmation and end date of last activity confirmation".
