Error when opening an RFC connection

Hello,

I am trying to establish RFC connection to SAP R/3 via saprouter,

The sap router ip is 193.104.117.5 port is 3299

The destination R/3 system ip is 10.1.1.52 system number 00

On saprouttab I add

p * 193.104.117.5 3299

p * 10.1.1.52 3200

p 10.1.1.52 * 3200

When I run niping -c -H /H/193.104.117.5/S/3299/H/10.1.1.56/S/3200 the result is :

Thu Sep 20 17:32:59 2012

connect to server o.k.

*** ERROR => bytes_written <> bytes_read (1000, 14) [nixxtst.cpp 1017]

On sm59 target host I entered /H/193.104.117.5/S/sapdp99/H/10.1.1.52/S/3200

when I test the connection I get error :

Error Details Error when opening an RFC connection (CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINIT' : cmRc=17 thRc=2

Error Details ERROR: SAP gateway connection failed. Is SAP gateway started?

Any idea why the connection is not working ?

Regards,

Nissim.
