Kits (collection of materials) - pricing.

Hi All,

I've a scenario and this is with reference to Kits(sort of collection of materials).

  1. Material ABC = 1 unit of A + 5 units of B + 7 units of C
  2. Please note, Material ABC is not a manufactured part. It is just a kit.
  3. Which means when a customer asks for Material ABC, we sell him the package, the required parts of A(1), B(5) and C(7).
  4. The parts A, B and C are different, sourced(bought) from different vendors, and can be sold separately.
  5. The pricing condition record(PR00) of ABC will be created as usual via VK11 and it may or may not be the sum total of A+B+C
  6. Is this do-able via BOM (ERLA).

Thanks All.

Hi ,

You can create BOM with those materials whatever you proposed with ERLA.

1. Create 3 materials as A, B and C with corresponding Iten Category groups.

2. Create a BOM in CS01 with those materials.

3. Maintain the item Category Determination and Schedule lines determination.

4. Maintain the Pricing in VK11 before maintain the Pricing Procedure.

5. Maintain the Customer Material Info with ABC related to A,B and C in VD51.

If you have any doubts let me know.

Thanks,

Naren

Yes, ERLA would be the option to go with. As with this item category group, the pricing is at main item level and NOT at sub item level. Thus pricing at ABC and not at A, B, C level.
