Unable to Test "HRESS_CC_MENU_AREA_GROUP"

I am unable to test the component "HRESS_CC_MENU_AREA_GROUP" from t-code: SE80.

What might be the reason ?

Hi Srikanth,

WebDynpro Components and WebDynpro Component Configurations cannot be tested standalone, they are mere design time objects. To test your component configuration, there needs to be an application configuration, assigned to a respective component configuration. I have to admit, I never realized the Menu point is still available and insensitive when trying this for a WDYN Comp Conf...

Hi,

I don't think you can test a component configuration. To view the components functionality you need to find the application the uses the compoent. In your case navigate to the package the component is part of - PAOC_ESS_CENTRAL_SERVICES. Then locate Web Dynpro folder and Web Dynpro Applications. There you find the application HRESS_AC_MENU that you can execute. This applications use the component.
