Issue while enhancing the DS 2LIS_11_VAITM

Hello Experts,

I am facing an issue with the enhancement of the DS 2LIS_11_VAITM.

The purchasing team asked me to add 2 specific fields from the table VBAP (the postif point is that the DS 2LIS_11_VAITM  is built among others on table VBAP)

Here's the 2 fields that i have to add (as you can see, they're specific ones added by an include)--> ZZXFIELD and ZPROG

My Procedure to make it:

Using RSA6 i enhnaced MC11VA0ITM by creating a new append structure

Afterwards I created a user exit to fill the 2 fields.

The problem is that when I test the extractor, I can't see the 2 added fields. May be I have to add them like the final layout thing...

Does anybody have an idea how to solve this issue?

Hi Amine,

The two fields would have been hidden.

You can check this by:

Selecting the datasource in RSA6 -> choose display icon on top.

You can see the hide option checked for these two fields, if yes, you can unhide them by going back and entering the same screen in edit mode.

That was my first tought, but no (this part is ok)...In fact I didn't mention it on my procedure.

Hi Amine,

Hope you have also generated the Datasource via LBWE, when you do this, it would again take you to the RSA6 screen for the extractor fields, you can try checking the hide options there in case you have already not.

But I just discovered something

May be i have to push the field at the left of the screen and save. But I can't see the field zzxfield. Is that normal?

Hi Amine,

Looks like ur missing a linking step.

Can you try the following:

In stead of trying to directly create an append for the extract structure MC11VA0ITM,

try appending the structure that is specific for MCVBAK, should be the following:

.INCLUDE

MC11VA1ITM

0

0

Extraction SD Sales BW: Document Item MCVBAK

Once thats done, you should be able to see the fields in maintenance screen in LBWE under MCVBAK

Hi Hari,

If understand your proposal. Insetad of adding the fields like i made in the append of the DS

I replace the 2 fileds by the includes (append structures)

? I never made it before

Do you confirm? after i suppose that i have to modify my user exit (now i am populating the fields)

Hi Amine,

I dont think u can add fields directly to MC11VA1ITM (MCVBAK). You have to again append structure (if you already dont have one, if theres already an append, you can just add fields directly to the existing append). Then i think these two fields should show up in LBWE (maintenance).

1st step is to make sure that the fields show up in RSA3 after you do a test run.

2nd step is to write logic for it.

No point in writing logic even without the fields appearing in RSA3 extractor checker.

If you have a sandbox system, you can just play around to get more clarity of what i am trying to say.

I found out a SAP note. It seems to be the same issue that I am facing:

Note 742381 - IS-M: 2LIS_11_VAITM returns no medium fields

I will let you know if it corrects my issue.

Thanks a lot for your participations.

The problem is now solved. It was a little issue and i made it hard for myself

All what I had to do is to change the final layout in the alv grid and add the missing fields.

All is now working fine.

Hi Amine,

In my opinion you should always try to add the missing fields in the communication structure in the Logistic Cockpit (t/code LBWE). From here you execute the subsequent steps.

It explains why it's crucial to enhance the communication structure in the right way and moreover it gives some information on how to proceed (under Solution).
