Hi,

Nice to see a seprate forum on BPS.

Currently, I am working on BW 3.5, but want to learn about BPS in detail about the functionality..

can you please share your learning experience with me.. in terms of what could be the best approach to learn BW-BPS.

In my case, I attended course TBW45, which is now replaced by BW370.

This training is a very good one.

I do not have any practical exposure yet, since the BPS project I had to be involved in has been postponed due to budget restrictions...

Hi Rajiv,

I have done a SEM-BPS implementation before, for Sales Planning.

I did also a small BW-BPS implemention, to be able to complete the information extracted to BW.

It works fine!

I like the BPS, although it should be easier. SAP is working to move to a more integrated environment, joining reporting and input planning in the same interface.

will you be able to update us on the way you had worked out in sales planning like the number of levels and packages in levels and what type of planning functions you have come across in this scenario? waiting for it ...thanks

i have been searching for that material from long time. i am also new to this BPS, but allocated work on it with out providing any material or training. i heard about this material & searching a lot. so please can you send that material to me, it would be a great help for me.

I would really suggest you get your employer to send you on BPS training. Try BW 370.

Hi Rajiv,

I was advised that you should not take up BPS unless you are CPA. Just to share with you.

I think its not difficult to configure or use. A CPA can learn it in a week, enough to start configuring and testing the product.

I'm no accountant but due to survival (job), I have to learn it.
