maintenance view of table/ SPRO configuration

Former Member

Hi,

I have added a new primary key field in a custom configuration table. Now I have to add a record in the table, but in the SPRO new primary key field is not populating. Also in SM30 while maintaining the table I am getting error message 'maintenance dialog for table is incomplete or not defined'.

Please let me know how to create new entry in the table? Does SPRO view get updated automatically or we have to do it manually, after change in the table. Do I need to create maintenance view for table?

thanks in advance.

Regards,

Tanay

Hi Tanay,

Have you adjusted your custom configuration table using SE14?

Whenever you add a new field to the existing table, you have to adjust the database table. In SE14, choose process type Direct & radio button Save data and then click Activate and adjust database button.

Please go through below link.

Hope its useful.

Hi Rajesh,

I have adjusted the custom table and also created the maintenance view keeping the same screen number as of SPRO screen number. But still SPRO screen is not showing the new field.

Please let me know, do i need to add that field maunally in the SPRO screen?

Just in case - maintenance view and maintenance dialog are two different things. The message you're getting in SM30 is because there is no maintenance dialog defined or it was not adjusted after the table was changed. Maintenance dialog can be created/changed in SE11 for the table.

Maintenance view is a separate object. If you have just created it and SPRO worked fine before then I believe maintenance view has nothing to do with this. Just a guess though...
