rendering XML forms

Hi all,

I am very confused in understanding the topics of displaying/rendering XML forms.

I had a look on all the posts regarding this topic and stil havent found out what I am looking for.

I've tried the classical example of Editing/Displaying News from the guide "Create XML Forms".

All things work fine, building those two iviews one for editing the news with NewsExplorer

Layout, and one for browsing the news with NewsBrowser layout.

Still I dont know what operations to do next to accomplish the following things:

- I want the editing News iView to open the form directly for editing it, with no need to click on a link with New NameProject. I've tried that building an iView from par - type com.sap.km.cm -> xmlformedit, but i couldnt see one property for setting the RID of the xml that will be created after completing the form, thats why I get an error after clicking the ok button.

- I dont want to display the whole directory of xml files (with the news) from the KM folder I set when creating the iView for displaying!! But only the news from that day, or at least just one, but not all xml files.

I've found also the pdf guide called "Easy creation of Web-based Forms and the XML Forms Builder" where they show how easy is to integrate the xml form, and display them as you want with alternative rendering. They remember about creating XML Forms Renderer , additional Layout Set, but no word about how to configure them, just a link to the KM Configuration where to find them.

All the documentation guides I've seen miss all these important things, or at least I havent found them.

Can somebody helps me out?

Please do not guide me to help.sap links, I had a look there too.

And of course I want to solve this issue without developing code 😀

Best regards,

Raluca
