Hi Experts,
I am implementing SRM in version 7.0 (extended classic scenario), and I need to generate a commitment WBS element (Back-End System) after the approval of the shopping cart. The tests I conducted, there is a check available budget and even when the messages are exceeded, but after the approval of the shopping cart, the commitment is not generated.
I found the notes 520717, 524670, 68366, 1081758, 1260859, but they refer only online reporting and verification of budget availability. These features include the EHP1 already. This is not my problem!
According to the note 828231, the shopping cart only checks the available budget, but this does not compromise on the backend system.
Can anybody confirm this situation or share a possible solution?

Rapha Carvalho
Hello Rapha,
Could you please provide detail how the Shopping cart is being converted into ECC system? As PR or PO? Commitment update is mainly handled through configuration in ECC system and how the it is set up. You can check in SPRO --> Project System --> Costs --> Budget --> Define Tolerance Limit . In this configuration Tr. Group = "++" will have commitment update in PR and PO.
Thank you
Ritesh

Hi Ritesh,
Thanks for the quick attention.
So, we are creating the shopping cart directly into SRM, and post-approval workflow process, create a purchase order from the source of supply and replicate the document to the back-end system.
I need that after the approval of the shopping cart, it generated a pre-commitment. Do you know if this is possible according to the standard solution?
Just as the solution of the note 900825, but without development.

Hi Ritesh,
To make it simple, I need to commit the available budget within the WBS element, when the
shopping cart is approved in SRM. It is possible, within the standard functionality?
Today, already exists in the standard solution, verification and return messages exceeded budget, but when my cart is approved, the system does not generate the commitment ECC!
Implementing the extended classic scenario, I know that the commitment is generated when I reply that the purchase order for the back-end system. But here, I have to commit that budget, at an earlier time, it would be the approval of the shopping cart.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Rapha,
Yeah commitment update from existing budget is available based on standard functionality. We are using Internal order instead of WBS element but whenever SC gets approve and convert into Purchase requisition in backend system (Classic implementation) at that time commitment gets applied to the Internal Order.
For that we have configured Internal Order Budgeting in ECC to allow commitment as "++" for Trg. Group which done the trick.
Hope this helps.
Thank you
Ritesh
