Hi Experts,
As per sap note 1656983, in order to extend cell size, we need to specify "ResultSetSizeLimit"="-1" in path
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\AdvancedAnalysis\Settings\DataSource]
But we are unable to find this path in windows registry. i.e., AdvancedAnalysis\Settings\DataSource is not available.
Please suggest how to achieve this.
FYI. we are using AA version 1.2
Thanks,
Saravanan.
Hi,
As a retail customer I totally understand the need for more than 500K cells. We are currently running with a BW setting of 4.1 M cells.
Running Windows 7 64Bit we created the registry settings in the Wow6432Node folder
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\SAP\AdvancedAnalysis\Settings\DataSource]
"ShowBicsSample"="True"
"ResultSetSizeLimit"="-1"
Hope this helps.

Hello Saravanan - have you figured this out. I am having issues with this as well. I have added said registry entry and this has not changed a thing. Any help would be appreciated. I am on 1.4.2.

Kelly,
It is always helpful for others when you "answer your own question" and then post it for everyone else to learn, thanks!
I'm glad you found the setting, but I would caution setting the limit about 500k. Yes, I know Excel can do 1M records in later versions, but do you REALLY want the users to pull back a phone book worth of data? I know we are often pressured into this scenario, but you may want to investigate adding some variables to the query or inquire more about the business process to see if there are better ways to accomplish the business goals.
Good luck!

"The settings and the correct path in the registry are described in the list of available settings. If a
setting is not yet in the registry editor, you can create the missing keys manually."
