I'm running Crystal XI on a Windows 7 computer and every time I chage the page orientation through the Page Setup menu, Crystal Report crashes. What can I do to make this work?
I have also been having this problem over the past 8 months, ever since I started using Crystal Reports. I just removed all of my printers and then re-installed the one I'm going to be using, and made sure that the drivers for the printer are Windows 7 compatible. But Crystal Reports still crashes every single time that I attempt to alter the page setup, regardless of whether I check the 'no printers' box first or not. This is infuriating. It's looking like I'm going to have to rebuild my report from scratch simply because Crystal won't let me switch from Portrait Letter to Landscape Legal. Has anyone found a satisfactory solution to this?

Hi Jose,
Check the option for No Printer in File -> Page Setup. Then change the orientation for the report.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Please verfiy the Printer Drivers on your machine, it might be corrupted or not installed properly.
Go to ‘Control Panel > Printer and faxes’
click on ‘File > Server Properties’ and go to the ‘Drivers’ tab
Select the drivers one by one and click on the ‘Properties’ button. it should display.
if one the driver wouldn’t open or throw an error, this needs to be repaired.
Hope it helps.

Hi Jose,
This is usually a printer driver issue. Even if one of the drivers on the machine is corrupt, crystal reports will crash when trying to access Page Setup or when trying to print the report.
Please remove all the printer drivers and test again. I'm pretty sure this will resolve the issue. If this works, you may go ahead and re-install the printer drivers you need again.
Let me know how this goes!

And while you're on the re-install of the printer drivers, check if there are any updates for them. Also note that typically, printer drivers are compiled for the specific OS, so make sure your printer drivers were designed for WIN 7.
