Job interception configuration in managed system

Hi,

I have configured the managed job inteception in the managed system as mentioned in the link http://scn.sap.com/community/it-management/alm/solution-manager/blog/2009/07/18/job-interception-con...

I have created a profile for interception and manatianed the user, job, class client data but the jobs are not intercepted. The basis release is 701 so i have done the configuration through "Criteria_Manager".

When i schedule the job in sm36 and check in sm37 than the job does not have the status intercepted but its in released status. Is there any extra configuration to be done.

hi,

check wheter these jobs picked byCBS and processed there, as per the doc, if this is procesed at CBS side, job status would be changed from intercept.

Please check and update.

Hi Jansi Rani,

Do you mean CPS?

I have not done the setttings yet in CPS also the Java stack where CPS is installed was down so CPS was not working.

I started CPS and changed the job handling info to "Disabled" from all and then I tried it. But still the job is not getting intercepted.

yes, sry for Typo. it is CPS

As per the attached document, it says if the jobs proessesed in CPS, you may not get the intercepted status.

and also can i confirm with you, have you executed the program INITXBP2 or have you tried by BAPI_XBP_NEW_FUNC_CHECK, if nt try by functional module, will tat work?

Still you were nt able to see, check the parameters defined in the table TBCICPT1, if this exactly match only you can get the job intercepted.

Hi Jansi Rani,

My basis version is 701 so for me the second case is applicable according to the document. I have done the configuration in the criteria manager accordingly but the jobs are not getting intercepted.

Is the interception concept applicable to all the jobs is there any limitation in the type of jobs which can be intecepted.

hi,

in either of the case, you must activate the functionality with the above mentioned program, by default this is off.

and interception based on the criteria you maintained. and I am not sure about the restriction on job types. basically it shoul nt

check for any sap notes

Hi ,

I have activate to XBP3.0 and done all the configurations as per the doc and even in cps i have not changed the job handling to "Intercepted" so ideally the jobs which are scheduled as per the criteria i have mentioned in "critria_manager" should be intercepted.

I will search for any note if i can find one.
