Planned/Production Orders should consider delivery tolerances from sales orders

Hi SCM Gurus,

Is there configuration to set Planned/production orders consider delivery tolerances from Sales Orders instead of Product Master? We are using CTP with PP/DS. For our make to order items we set delivery tolerances manually in sales order for each line item. We want planned order to be created by CTP with PP/DS using these delivery tolerances from Sales Order and not from product master.

Thanks in adance.

Raj

Dear,

Please refer OSS note 663313.

If the component does not have this characteristic or ATP field, the material master value is taken.

The tolerance values must always be specified in the base unit of measure of the relevant material.

Hi Rupesh,

Thanks for the info. The note 663313 is right one I am looking for. One question though. This note is talking about or I understand only underdelivery tolerance.

1) What about the overdelivery tolerance factor? Is this not going to come into planned order?

2) My understanding from this note is that this functionality is NOT standard and we have to do both ECC and APO enhancements to receive the tolerances from ECC and use in APO for both CTP and PP/DS heuristics. Without enhancements mentioned in this note this functionality is not going to work. Is this right?

Thanks

Raj

Dear,

Yes right standard system contains the underdelivery tolerance in the net requirements calculation as of APO Release 5.0

If you also want the system to take the underdelivery tolerance into account in the
Heuristic SAP_PP_003 planning of shortage quantities
Algorithm /SAPAPO/HEU_PLAN_DEFICITS, first proceed as described in Note 663313 and create the Z_APO_UNTOL_CHECK_REQ and Z_APO_UNTOL_GET_FROM_IO function modules.

Thanks Rupesh,

How about overdelivery tolerance? Is this not copied to APO? Also I do not see this field/column in product view. I have only two fields/columns are available in product view screen:

1) Undel.Tolerance (look like it's a qty field)

2) Underdel. Tolerance (look like it's flag)

Can you please explain me these fields you see in RRP3 and where I can see overdelivery% in APO planned order?

Thanks

Raj

Dear,

The product view display the tolerances under the characteristics

A sales order with overdelivery or underdelivery tolerances is created in R/3 and is transfered to APO. The tolerances are seen in the product view or in the Live Cache directly, on the tab 'Input Node Characteristics'. If you create a delivery for sales order, the tolerances are seen for the APO delivery.

Hi Rupesh,

Sorry asking too many details. Where is "Input Node characteristics" tab in RRP3? You mean descriptive characteristic icon like green triangle? They are only classification or VC characteristics and I don't see under and over tolerances here. We are on SCM7.0. I appreciate if you can attach a screenshot or let me know the step to reach there.

Thanks

Raj

Hi Raj,

the functionality is standard and described here:
