Logical Port Error "LP_WS_SMDAGENT_MONITORING "

Hello All;

We have recently upgradded our Solution Manager 7.1 from SP4 to SP6.

Prior to the upgrade process our Solution Manager was configured properly in all the configuration phases (System Preparation, Basic Configuration, and Managed Systems Configuration).

Also the Wily interscope was working fine on the URLs (http://fqdn:8081/webview, and http://fqdn:8081/workstation).

After the upgrade process finished successfully we found out that most of the steps in the three configuration phases needed to be updated.

In the System Preparation phase - step 4.3 "Enable Web Services", we faced an error when creating the logical port "LP_WS_SMDAGENT_MONITORING".

when we tried to ping the web service (LP_WS_SMDAGENT_MONITORING), we faced an error "Web service ping failed (RC=404). Service Ping ERROR: Not Found".

Also in the Basic Configuration phase in step 3.1 Configure CA Willy Interscope, we are facing the three error below:

1) SOAP:1.007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 404 : Not Found")

2) Web service invocation problem on host fqdn and port 8000 protocol : http logical port name : LP_WS_MANAGED_SETUP

3) Could not ping web service on the solution manager java stack

More over we can not access anymore the Wily Interscope on the urls mentioned above.

We have done a lot of researche on the web, and it seems alot of people are facing the same issue as ours, but unfortunatlly no one has provided the solution.

Kindly any assistant in helping us to solve this issue will be really appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that you experienced the same issue we have but with SP5.

Can you specify more what how you were able to solve the issue.

Dear,

Have you checked notes 1663549?

Also ensure that user used in logical port is not locked and has correct role.

Usually the user will be SM_INTERN_WS with role ZSAP_SM_INTERN_WS.

Mine has additional role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO, SAP_J2EE_ADMIN attached to that particular user.
