Difference between IM and WM Stocks

Hi

How to clear the difference between IM and WM stocks of a Material. will LX23 work for the below case.

This material having the stock 3349 qty with batch . But warehouse having 11749 qty.the difference is 8400 qty available in WM without batch.

How to clear this 8400 qty with out batch in WM.

It seems long back  8400 qty updated in warehouse with out batch activation.now batch is activated.

Pls any one have any idea to clear this 8400qty.find below screen shots

Hi,

There is an inconsistency which might have caused due to manual table update of stocks while changing batch managed attribute of material. I believe non batch managed stock might have existed in WM before changing material master.

I think you need to perform another  table entry to nullify WM stock in 920.

Hello,

From the above screenshot it seems unwanted stock is in Interim Storage type 920, you can clear it by running Tr.code LI21.

Hi,

  Please move the stock in storage type 999 or 998 (check your customisation settings where the differnce should go) & then you can acarry out LI21 to write off the stock at IM level.

Hi,

This error is because now the material is batch managed, one thing i am not able to understand how did the system allowed to chage the maerial master to batch managed even though there wasw stock.

In standard system does not allow you to chnage the material to batch managed if stock is available.

Now, to solve this can you see teh TR for stock of 8400 qty non batch managed by clicking on that line in stock overview.

Please let me know.

Hello,

System will not allow to move stock in any storage type though it is now batch managed.

Only possibility i can see is if you can see TR for non batch managed stock, we can cancel it.

I cancelled the TRs which do not have batch managed.But still system not cleared this stock.any other option available like sap note/correction program?

Hi ,

Seems some malfunctioning has happen as if you change to settings to the batch management system throws an error if stock exists.

Just try if you are able to issue the stock to the cost center using 201 mvt type ?

If this fails you must notify to SAP with OSS

Please check once do you see any open TR for non-batch managed stock in LB11.

I would suggest you write a OSS note to SAP to clear warehouse managed stockAs it is mismatch between IM and WM.First step system should not allow you to activate batch when you have stocks.

SAP will suggest you to take steps to resolve the open oty or they will clear the qty.Insted of postings first of all you need to identify why in the ware house stock appeared and the IM qty where it is issued.It is some thing mismatch.Identify the root cause if not possible only option mesaage to SAP.

Hello,

Please try below option.

(1)  Use MB11 transaction code with movement type 711.Enter the material and excess qty that you want to cancel and batch number. System will ask you to enter storage type and bin in the same transaction. Enter you storage type 920 and bin.

(2) If option 1 is not successful, then you have no choice but to make table entries. Adjust the stock in LQUA and also add the batch number entry in LQUA.
