CM Scheduler

Hi,

We are not using KM heavily (except for LSO publishing).

For LSO, we have created 3 folders in KM under Document Repository, so

Course Admin Application will publish contents in these folders. Beside

this functionality, we are not using KM in portal.

We would like to know whether CM Scheduler is required or not?

Hi NasarathKhan,

To be more clear to your query,

If you don't use following services then there is no need to have it.

>Time-Dependent Publishing (TBP)

>Subscription Service

>Index Management Service

>Crawler Service

>Reporting Service

More information can be found in the following help links:

Hi Nasarath,

If you are using KM only for publishing then the CM schedular should not be required.

For Schedular service see:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/3d/b5842eb8a911d5993900508b6b8b11/frameset.htm

For Schedular tasks see:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/3a/bc37b5789dee4eaa8005bff84f14cf/frameset.htm

However,if you are want to use search, subscription etc. on the folder where you publish the content then these are required. I would recommend not to change any schedular configuration if you are not facing any problems as it might have implications on some KM services.
