Hi Folks,
Recently I tried to print out my Smartform Development using the Zebra Printer. It was already setup previously and I just followed the coding "techniques" form Smartforms in this link http://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/documentlibrary/misc/sap_smartforms_technical.File.tmp/SAP_Smart...
Initially I used LOCL to print preview my Smartform and it looked fine but when I used a the Zebra device type (Zebra Printer LB_ZEB IBM 850) my print preview looked like this.
I was wondering what might have caused this. The Font I used is HELVE, but using COURIER and TIMES do not work either.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards
Hi,
With device type LB_ZEB, this deviec type is normally only used with the method described in SAP note: 179534 - Label printing with Zebra printers (SAPscript). The pront data is created in a third party program and uploaded into a SAPScript form. Then the already created print data iss sent directly to the printer without change apart from filling the symbols with the runtime values. In this case, I would not expect the preview to work.
If you use a real Smart Form, then you should print via device type LZEB2 as per SAP note 750002. Or you can use one of the device types supplied by Zebra. See SAP note 1173046). For these device types the print preview should look better.
regards,
Aidan
