Hi, I think the title says it all, I'm curius about this new SAP's tool, but I wanna know, it is Java pure? or is something like Java?, another question will be, it's compatible with all products OnDemand? I mean like sales OnDemand, Travel OnDemand, and so on? and the last will be, it is compatible with SAP ByDesign?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards.

Hi Arnulfo,

yes, NetWeaver Cloud is a Java-based Platform as a Service offering. That is to say that the platform has been build using popular Open-Source software projects (e.g. Apache, Eclipse and many others.)

At the moment we only support the productive usage of Java applications, but we also have additional programming languages (Ruby / Rails) on our agenda.

Best regards,

Matthias

HI,

as far as I'm concerned SAP NW Cloud is a JEE appplication server which runs on the cloud. This means that you can develop your servlets and web applications (css, js, sapUI5) and deploy the resulting application on the cloud.  On top of this enabling layer sits a variety of applications (i.e. OnDemand products - e.g. Cloud Portal).

Hope this helps.
