Horizontal orientation not matching in DeskI and WebI

Hi all,

We have a report which has section with horizontal orientation in DeskI while in WebI, we are not able to split the section horizontally.

Data is appropriate as per the requirement, the only thing left with this report is orientation of report sections.

I am unsure whether the same feature is possible in WebI.

Appreciate any help on this.

Hi Sudam ,

Go to structure mode and try to position them .

I'm thinking of a simple solution with rank , break and filters .But this is applicable only when you know/estimate no of tables you need to show .

1.create a rank variable on dimension key ,which should populate unique values even when break applied .

Ex : Rank([dimension-key];([dimension])) .

2.apply break on this rank variable , so that you can generate tables for each dimension key .

3.filter on variable , like rank between 1,2 .copy paste tables as many as times you want and apply filter on the table from 3,4 ..n-1,n .

The problem that we are facing is that the relative positions are getting applied for all the tables when set for one individual table. In Webi , I am not sure whether we can actually do this

It seems first individual tables are created for each one like for 103 table where filter on 103 and then 104,105,111.After that relative position is used to set the distance and grouped together in the report.

If you have two separate tables then you can set the distance/align by relative position function.

Right click on the table->Align->Relative posittion

How this is achieved in the Deski? or is it static like with relative position tables are placed one by one?

I am unsure about the process of creation of this deski report and how this horizontal sections were created.
