Hi Experts,
I am installing SAP NW IDM 7.2. I am having issues while deploying User Interface and unable to find .SCA file for NW AS JAVA 7.31 version. Is
NW AS JAVA7.31 the correct version to be used while installing NW IDM 7.2? If it is right then please tell me where can I find NW IDM IC UIS.SCA for NW AS JAVA 7.31. In case, if AS JAVA version is not the right one then what are the options for me.
Regards,
Abdur
Hello Experts,
Thank you all for your opinion, I've successfully installed AS JAVA 7.31. However, In the Identity centre in the job log this warning is constatly coming up. As per PAM, I am using MS JDBC 3.0 drivers and in that using sqljdbc4.jar file(driver) for JVM6.1(got created for the installation of AS JAVA 7.31) and I am able to enter IDM through the URL but it says " Access Denined and Service is Down".
Warning:
1) Failed loading JDBC Driver class com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver- Exception:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServer
2) CLASSPATH directory(C:\programfiles\microsoft SQLServer JDBC Driver 3.0\sqljdbc_3.0\enu) contains no class files.
As per the guide, I've unzipped JDBC 3.0 driver in C:\Program files..... and included the location in Environment Variable and in the Class path and Class Path extension and sqljdbc4.jar file also exsist in the JDBC folder. I am unable to figure out the warning. Also, the service, dispatcher, file in the event agents are installed and are in running state. MX Dispatcher, MX Agent services are also running. In NWA, all the JAVA Services are Up and Running and JAVA Components related to IDM and JDBC are in Running state. I was hoping, if some one can help me to solve this issue.

Hey Matt,
I've read the blog outling your experience while installing Sap IDM and found it was very informative and got a clue for the errors which I was facing.
In my case, I've made silly errors, A) As per the guide, I did not follow the proper naming convention to name the DataSource and later had to set an Alias for the same. Then restarted SAP to see the 'service down' message vanish.
B) As I've never created 'administrator' user in Identity Centre and I was trying to acces IDM url, that is the reason I was getting that 'Access denied' message.

Abdur
Hi Abdur,
yes 7.31 is supported and the PAM will be updated to reflect this. See note 1652208 Identity Management User Interface - Support for 7.2/7.3 SAP AS JAVA server on this same topic. The Java AS Server release 7.1 SCA file for 7.2 SAP Netweaver Identity Management can be deployed on a 7.31 release AS Java Server.
Hope it helps.
Chris

According to PAM NW 731 is not supported, but only:

Sarah,
Take a look at this article I wrote. Make sure you're deploying the correct version:

Hope this helps you out!
