Hi All,

Client has for one product 4-5 same moulds and can be loaded on 4-5
different molding machines based on planing. Also moulds have capacity like
mould A 200 qty/hr, mould B 300 qty/hr, mould C 500qty/hr. Based on it client is
doing planning like mould A on molding machine1 200 qty, mould B on molding
machine 2 300 qty like that. Molding machines are treated as work center and
moulds are PRTs. Now user wants planning on moulds. How can I do this?

Please guide ASAP.

Thanks.

Dear,

You need to create different 4-5 workcenter for these moulds. If same product process on all the moulds then create diffrent recipe or routings and define activities rate accordingly as per the work center capacity consumption. Then create different production version for all these recipe or routing.

After that you can the product on the basis of these production version.

Hi,

Thanks. But moulds are used in molding machines. Also moulds have capacity as M1 -200 qty/hr, M2-300 qty/hr. etc. And based on this capacity moulds and molding machines are planned.

Thanks

Dear,

Work center will have capacity for  as Hr and routing will have the time along with quantity.  So for the product you will have a m/c = mould running time let say 15 HR for 100 PC this can be define in your routing. In routing you will have work center and activity time and quantity this will calculate your out put in Qty/Hrs.

Hope clear to you.
