steps to extract data from apo system to bi system

Hi All,

can you tell me how to extract data from apo datasources to bi system can you send me the steps.

And present my requirement

in the existing system at present the data flow is from apo--->r/3---->bi but present the requirement is they want to load data directly from apo---->bi system.

can you tell me now the transformations and dtps and the cubes what are all there existing should i need to delete them or i need to create it again from the scratch or else can i use the existing ones. and regarding the data in the cubes should i delete those data in the cube? and i came to know there will not be delta functionality for apo datasources then what i need to do for this?.

Kindly please give me your inputs which will be helpful for me to proceed on this task.

Hello,

1. In the APO system, go to transaction RSA5 and choose the Datasources and activate them.

2. Goto RSA3 and check the extractor, when you have to specify the client name give the name of the BI client and extract.

3. In the BW system, go to Source system and choose the name of the APO client and then check that the RFC connecton is ok.

4. Go to Datasources and choose the source system to be the APO client and replicate the datasources.

5. The datasource will be visible now, create an infopackage and do the normal process from there to do the data load to any target.

Make sure the target is active and then do the DTP to get the data from APO to BW system.
