I have following question on work status and apprecaite inputs.

Q1> What are the required setting for work status.

Q2>We have several application one for sales planning, expense planning, HR planning, etc.Does the work status works for each application separately?

Q3>Also with in one application I want to lock the data loading for one category and allow for another category.Can I achieve this thru work stauts.

Can some one share the link for documentation or share the inputs.

Hi,

There are 2 components in work status.

1. Work states: this is maintained at the appset level. If you create the states as unlocked, submitted, and approved, then these states will be common for all the applications in that appset.

2. Work status will be, then, maintained for each application. So, in the planning application, you can probably lock the data for the combination of one category (actual), entity and time. Then only this combination of data is locked. The budget category is still unlocked.

Q1 - depends on your process control requirements.

Q2 - Yes, separately

Q3 - Yes, if work status is enabled for CATEGORY dim.
