Hi Raj,

Chapter 18.2 and Chapter 25 in the EPM user guide describes a lot about the various kinds of formating available and how to achieve that. Suggest you go through these and incorporate the ones which you want to demonstrate to the client. Link to the guide -

Hi Raj,

In sheet options, these are just options available to users, and they are not related to format only, these are related to the sheet which you are working upon, i.e. your current report. And, the Formatting tab in Sheet options will only have few things (kind of behaviours) which you can change using these. For ex - Row Header Indentation - If you want all dim members to be indented same in your report, choose no indentation, all will be aligned same.

For hierarcy coloring, if you go to the Formatting Sheet in your report, there you can find Hierarchy Level Formatting, there you can format the cells in the desired color combination based on what you provide for a parent/child level member. Your report will build accordingly.

Hope it helps!!

Hi,

The sheet options are for structural formatting (or options).

For doing the color based or text based formatting, you need to access the "view format" link. This will open an additional sheet.

Hope this helps.

thanks, I need two things, one is color to hierarchy member and most important page number. how do I do that, I did not find in documentation , one more thing should I hide the view page sheet after formatting

Hi,

Hierarchy member formatting can be done. You just need to mention what kind of formatting you would like to apply to each level of the hierarchy.

Regarding page numbers, do you want kind of a water mark with the page number? If yes, then its a standard excel feature. There is nothing special in BPC for this.

Yes, it should be hidden from the user.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

In the formatting options, there is a section for hierarchy formatting. In that you can format the different data cells at individual levels of the hierarchy. You can even have separate formatting for the heading at different hierarchy level.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Select the third apply section for "formatting on specific level". Now, under the data section, you can select the cell and apply some coloring to that. You can apply different colors to different levels. You can even add / remove levels.

On top, you will be able to see 2 options - "structural hierarchy" and one more (I forgot the name).

Structural format takes the hierarchy levels based on the member sheet. The other option takes the levels based on the members displayed in the template.

Hope this helps.

Hi Raj,

You can different types of formatting.

Formatting can be done to hierarchy levels.

You can lock a certain data cell(s).

You can do the banding. Every even and odd rows or columns will have separate colors.

You can do formatting based on the property value of the member.

It will be quite difficult to list down all the features.
