RLT IN MMR

Dear pp gurus i  am sd consultant

i want to 2 things pl check

In MMR MRP 2 View or MRP 3 View we use to maintain RLT but my Doubt is if we maintain in mrp 2 view system will take total of Inhouse production time + GR processing time and will propose end of lead time based on this and gives availability confirmation, irrespective of quantity.

and if we maintain mrp 3 view, date proposed for 50 ( what ever me maintain) would always be end of lead time, irrespective of quantity.

plz give so more clarification on this ...little bit confused here....

and RLT IS MANDATORY FOR availability check bz i read one thread in this RLT IS not mandatory written  pl check..http://scn.sap.com/thread/1077318

Hi Lavanya,

As per my knowledge, the main difference between RLT and Inhouse production time is

RLT: The time taken to produce 1 quantity of the header material by considering all the dependent requirements procurement and production lead times

Inhouse production time :The time taken to produce 1 quantity of the header material without considering all the dependent requirements procurement and production lead times

generally the system will consider the RLT to propose the delivery date in sales order, but if the RLT is not given for any FG, the system automatically will consider the Inhouse production time to propose the delivery date.

Krishna Chandra

Dear Lavanya,

RLT will be required for any material,if in the scope of check for a checking group and checking rule if

the check box for - Check without RLT is not included.

The following options exist for materials produced in-house if the replenishment lead time is included in the availability check:

  • The Total replenishment lead time field is maintained.
  • In this case, the time maintained in this field is used for the availability check.
  • The Total replenishment lead time field is not maintained.
  • In this case, the system reads the in-house production time and, if available, the goods receipt processing time, and interprets the total of these two times as the replenishment lead time for the availability check.

Dear,

It depends upon the setting of availability check if you have setup your scope of check OVZ9 to consider the RLT then it is useful.

If you maintain the RLT in MRP3 view system will consider it if you don't maintain it then takes total of Inhouse production time + GR processing time. RLT is not mandatory you can do the availability check without it also.  Go to OVZ9 check the field Check with RLT put F1 there you will come to know the significance of it.
