which is the best method to convert ABAP to XML and vice versa?

Hi Experts,

Please Suggest me which one is the best method for conversion from  ABAP to XML and vice versa,

   1. Call Tranformation Method - XSLT_TOOL(STRANS).

   2. Using Function Modules (SDIXML_SCHEMA_CREATE ,SDIXML_DDIC_TO_SCHEMA etc.)

or suggest me if i missed any method.
