Subcontracting challan date issue

Dear All,

The requirement is to provide the error message at the time of creation of the subcontracting challan:

If the MM period is not open then the error should be displayed as the posting is possible only in XXXXX to XXXXX as it displays in case of the goods receipt. Please let me know in case it is possible through Standard SAP message controls.

Hi Gaurav,

This is not possible in standard system as there is no material movement in creation of sub-contracting challan J1IF01.

Sub-contracting challan is created with reference to the 541 material document. If MM period is not open then system issues error message at the time of 541 material document posting. System already checks the MM posting period at the previous level of challan creation.

So, i think, MM period validation is not required in J1IF01, as system already controls it at the previous level.

I think I will have to find the enhancement in the J1IF01 in order to achieve this.
