Item cat change delivery

Dear sd gurus

             we can change item cat in sales order document but in delivery if you want to change item cat we have to write extra logic in copy control at item data if this Delivery document with reference to sales order

but if we are creating delivery  with out reference to sales order we can change the item category in delivery ..right but here one processing is there before entering material qnty and all once you entered key button after that it will b in gray mode it means user cant change item cat once he pressed enter button

by doubt is why system is not allowing  once he pressed enter button,  is there  any possibility is there to change item cat even after pressing  enter button in vl01n i mean is it possible to change item cat in vl01n only ?

what is the purpose of changing the item category in delivery?

in my opinion that thread has already provided the answer. that is how sap works.

you would raise a SAP message asking them WHY do you do this?
