PPDS heuristic SAP_PP_004 is not working as per expectation

Dear team,

I want to use PPDS heuristic SAP_PP_004.Here i want system will club 4 weeks demand and will give one purchase requisition as per the setting defined in the heuristic.But in actual system is clubbing all the demand and giving one purchase requisition.

1. I have maintained planning procedure 4 in PPDS tab of product master.

2.I have maintained heuristic SAP_PP_004 in PPDS tab of product master.

3.I am running planning run in t code /sapapo/cdpsb0 and i am using the heuristic SAP_PP_004.

Kindly let me know is any more settng required to get the actual result.

Dear,

Set your period type as week and number of periods 4. From the start of the heuristic, the algorithm considers all the demand for one week to calculate the net requirements.Pleas try heuristic SAP_PP_004 (with just short-term lot) with period type lot size procedure (t.code /sapapo/cdpsc11 and tab lot size). Please check the documentation of the heuristic for details.

I am using sap standard setting.Here no of period is used as 4.I want to know if is there any more setting required.

Dear,

If you want the heuristic to use the data from the heuristic settings, you set the Use Lot Size Settings from Heuristic indicator on the new tab page Lot Sizes. In the standard system, the indicator is not set. The tab page contains parameters for the procurement quantity calculation that are relevant for the heuristic.

Else you can setup the lot size in product master.
