Print Preview is not the same with Print Out in SO

Hi all,

Currently I am having the problem with the print preview of SO is not the same with the print out. I am using PLD for all the SO, invoice and delivery templates and I don't know why sometimes the print out will missing a few words while it looks fine in the print preview.

It only happens to the item description when it is too long. I have set the line break to "divide into rows" but still the last few characters in the first row cannot be printed. I have tried my best to adjust the width of the text field but still one or two characters of the first row for item description will gone missing in the print out.

For example, Oak Regal Country Low Gloss Walnut Stained ALOX 15 x 190 x 2190mm

The print preview will shown as Oak Regal Country Low Gloss Walnut Stained in the 1st row of item description then ALOX 15 x 190 x 2190mm in the following row but in the print out, it only printed Oak Regal Country Low Gloss Walnut Stai in the 1st row and ALOX 15 x 190 x 2190mm in the 2nd row.

May I know how to make it to what I see is what I get from the print preview?

Thanks,

Leng

You need change PLD printer setting the same as printer setting. Not the other way around.

Hi Nithi,

My PLD Page Size is A4 (210 x 297mm) while the printer settings is letter. When I tried to change the printer settings to A4, the print out still not the same. I will try for the other settings later.

Hi Leng,

When you can see in print preview, it doesn't mean the actual from printer is the same. You need to increase width to allow more spaces. The font from printer may not be exactly the same as your display.

Hi Gordon,

I have already increased the width to the maximum but still there are some characters missing. It's now better comparing with the previous one.

For example, Oak Regal Country Low Gloss Walnut Stained ALOX 15 x 190 x 2190mm

The print preview will shown as Oak Regal Country Low Gloss Walnut Stained ALOX 15 x 190 x in the 1st row of item description then 2190mm in the following row but in the print out, it only printed Oak Regal Country Low Gloss Walnut Stained ALOX 15 x 190 in the 1st row and 2190mm in the 2nd row. The 'x' before 2190mm is missing.

Hi Priya,

The repetitive area height is 20 while the item description height is 20, left 150, width 160. In the print preview, I can see the full description of the items but it was missing a few characters in the print out.

Thanks.

HI  Leng,

Try To increase the Width, Make sure the field alignment with next column should not on the top of the Item desc... Try to reduce the Font Size of Item Desc...

Kennedy

Hi Kennedy,

I have already try to increase the Width of that field to the maximum as I still got another column next to it. I don't want to reduce the Font size to so small.

Thanks,

Leng
