Linkage problem

While creating new material masters how are my bom and routing linked in the system please guide also what is use of product hierarchy material group etc

Dear Amit,

Firstly Create Material using T-code MM01

then use T-code CS01 to create BOM

then use T-code CA01 to create Routing

then use T-code C223 to create Production version here u have to mention BOM alternative BOM and routing Number that will be used in your Production.

then you can run your production cycle like MRP run create Planned order /Production order confirmation and all.

Check and confirm to me.

Hi Amit,

Selection ID is the link between master data selection like BOM, Routing in production orders. You can also link these 2 master data in production version and explode these master data in order.

Product hierarchy you can define for the grouping of similar item for reporting purpose.
