IFRS Starter Kit ?

Dear All,

When we talk of IFRS starter kit in BPC 10.0, does it mean the default 4 models that come with BPC 10.0 environment [Planning, Consolidation, Rates & Ownership ]? Or, something else?

Pls. clarify on this.

Thank you!

Regards,
Peri

Hi Peri,

The starter kit is kind of a starting point for doing consolidation using IFRS principles. The starter kit has all the necessary models, dimensions, members, etc. These members can be modified to meet the requirements of the customer.

The starter kit also has a set of pre-configured business rules to take care of the consolidation. However, these should be validated to ensure that they meet the exact requirements.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nilanjan,

What is the format of these starter kits? Zipped package of kit's environment? If not, how can I import the kit into my environment?

Where can I find such kits in the Internet?

Thanks,

Peri

Hi Peri,

You can find the BPC IFRS Starter Kit in SAP Service Marketplace (SMP). You need to have "S" User ID to log in into SMP and also should have proper download authorization rights to download the kit.

Hi,

You will need to download it from SMP.

Its just an appset that was created. So, you will get the backup of the appset in SMP. You need to restore it in your server using UJBR.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nilanjan,

I have download IFRS Starter Kit from SMP, and restore it to BPC 10 using UJBR, but i cannot open the enviroment.

It said: No models are available in environment SAP_IFRS and you dont have any administarion tasks....

I also cannot set the environment status to be online.

What should i do?

Thanks for helps.

Hi Peri:

I ve seen IFRS SK for 7.5 and it implements a whole model about legal consolidation, not planning.

I assume IFRS SK for 10.0 is the same.

Thanks, Jav.

Does that mean those three models[ Consolidation, Rates & Ownership] form IFRS starter kit?
