Why do you need 3 variables? If you have a hierarchy you should just select the nodes and it will show you data for all those...Do you mean drill down into hierarchy so that based on higher node, you will select lower nodes?

No, sorry that my description was not clear. I have to select one node of my hierarchy, that can be a node or a leaf. I will get in my report for this choosen node on row with the aggregation/value of this node. If the level of this selected node/leaf is higher than 4 I want to display a second row with the aggregated value of the parent node on level 4. If the level is higher than 5 of my selection I want to display the aggregation of the parent node additionally, so that i get max. 3 rows and min 1 row. Is my description now a little bit clearer?

Thanks

I think now i get it.... Basically you want to get aggregated totals of nodes above selected ones...and since parent node doesn't get displayed after you select a specific one...you are stuck...I dont think this is achievable by standard means....Instead training users to select parent node addition to the ones of interest, would be an option....Standard hierarchy display is self explanatory and easy to use....If they want to see higher totals, we should train them to include those nodes...

Thanks for your response. At this time I use a structure within three selections. In each selection I selected one hierarchy node for my keyfigure. Then I get the expected result. There is only one problem: When I read the data via MDX in Crystal, then I get only the Infomation that this is a selection and no assignment to an InfoObject. But in Crysal I need the long text and the key of the selected node. With the selection I can only assign a text variable with a customer exit to read the text of the current node. There seems to be no standard to put the selected InfoObject instead of the selection text in Crystal reports.
