i am trying to create new person responsible in customization while doing can i give alphanumeric like a123 as person code and asusual name in person responsible. Is this possible as when i am trying the system is not accepting alphabetic it is accepting only numeric in person code column. coulg anybody suggest me?
One more clarrification while executing CN41N i am trying to see report on person responsible wise it is displaying person responsible of entire top level wbs . for example i have given person respon of 4 level wbs but in report it is showing 4th level 3rd level 2nd level and 1 level wbs person responsible can we restrict to specified person responsible.
In CN41N go to dynamic selection and select the Person Responsible in the master Data WBS Element. You have many options available to select in Dynamic Selection try them.
You can restrict the levels of WBS being displayed in the output in CN41N. Just choose the appropriate option in the dynamic selections option. Under the WBS head you would find an option for Level. Use that and check.
To see the table/field just place your cursor on the relevant field and hit F1. That will give you the required data.
And as indicated above, person code can only be a numberic field. You cant enter alphanumeric or alpha characters there.
As Gokul suggested you can restrict the levels of wbs being displayed in CN41N with dynamic selections.
To check the table and field names, place the cursor on the appropriate field and press F1. It takes you to performance Assistant window and then click (Tool box sign) technical information icon, there you can find table name and field name.
Locked. If you go to the WBS table you will clearly see that the field has a numerical data type. Plus, you yourself said that you got an error when you used letters... so clearly, it doesn't accept letters but you want to post a question anyways?
The field has Data Type-Numeric(Numc) with a maximum of 8 digits. It belongs to V_TCJ04-VERNR (Table-Field). You can not enter alphanumeric or alpha character in this field.
