class items in sales order of a configurable material using third party process

Hi experts!  Our company would like to use configurable material (SET Processing) on sales order, i created a BOM with usage 5 containing class items as components. And within these class items i assigned materials on specific characteristic values on the class using TCode CL24N. so that when i create a sales order the right component assigned to the characteristic values of the class item will be picked up on the sales order but it is not working.. only blank space appears on the line item of the sales order.  please help me... 😞  thanks!

Hello Lannie,

Do you get the class node exploded? as for class items , if it is not replaced then you will get the close node in configurable screen.If you dont get anything then it seems that bom isnt exploded correctly.

solved. i just made my scenario so complicated but the answer was so simple on VOV7 on the section of Bill of Material i just changed the BOM Explosion from A to D(based on configuration).

problem in this setting is that i can no longer change the quantity of my child materials..... its greying out after i finished all my configurations on the Sales Order.
