SAP B One 8.81 Account Segmentation

Hi,

One of our customer is looking for branch wise accounting. I recently came accross one document for 8.82 which details this functionality but i guess it is only available for Brazil.

Can anyone help how to manage branch wise accounting when in i would like to restrict access to user's based on branches

for example if i have 3 branches and HO so each user from respective branch will have access or view their account, BP etc.

I know to some extent this can be achieved through account segmentation. Can any one help me to confirm or share their thoughts on the proposed solution to achievs this.

Also would like to know if the user wise access is possible.

Response will be apprecaited.

Thanks,

SP

      Hi Venki,

      Thanks for the info.

I am little bit aware of the details given in the How to go guide and the one share by Kennedy.

But my more focus is if i am planning to go for a/c segmentation is it possible to restrict branch user wise access. For eg Branch A user should be allowed to see only his BP, GL account and HO user will see his. This will be applicable to Sales, purchase, Banking and Finance module

      1. Is this achievable if so could you please suggest the steps.

      2. Also are there any drawbacks/ difficulties which i may face in future if i go with segmentation

      Help will be much appreciated

      Regards,

      SP
