Issue with DCN while triggering a workflow

We are configuring the standard Sybase Mobile workflow for Business Suite as in the article - http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/topic/com.sybase.infocenter.dc01218.0155/doc/pdf/sup_devref_workflow.pdf

for the SAP Invoice verification process.

We have done the necessary configurations as outlined in the whitepaper and the necessary workflow configurations. We were facing a DCN error with HTTP error code 400 initially and now we get HTTP 200 success but unable to pick the workItem from the ABAP workflow into the Sybase queue. We believe the problem could be with the framing the MBO structure or payload being posted from SAP to SUP but unable to pin point the exact cause..

We are trying to do a HTTP post directly to the URL but we are unable to progress further.

http://50.112.243.236:8000/dcn/HttpAuthDCNServlet?cmd=dcn&package=sup_mwf:1.2&dcn_request={"pkg":"dummy","messages":[{"id":1,"mbo":"Workitem","op":":upsert","cols":{"DECISION":"decision1","DESCRIPTION":"desc1","USERNAME":"abc","WORKITEM":"workitem1"}}]}

Appreciate if you can share if you have had any similar issues.

Regards

Sriram Vasudevan

    Sriram,

    Sorry for the late reply but we have recently started working on Sybase Mobile Workflow for SAP Business Suite. I hope it helps some body who is working on the same.

    Following are my findings.

    1- Do not copy paste the code directly from the Sybase Technical Document to your SAP ABAP Function Modules because it did not properly convert the Double Quotes (") and it caused problems to the ABAP Program

    OR

    If you do, make sure you will check for all these quotes otherwise your Workflow URL is ended up with special characters and you will get 404 Error (Invalid Request)

    2- You should have SAME users in both SAP and SUP in order to get the workflows in User's Mobile Inbox.

    3- We have successfully sent the HTTP POST directly to Unwired Server with the following Java code.

    Go to infocenter.sybase.com and follow the following path.

    Sybase Unwired Platform 2.0 > Developer Guide for Unwired Server > Data Change Notification

    Here you will find ABAP and Java Code to send the HTTP Post request to your SUP server.

    This is a sample Request.

    "{\"id\":\"114\",\"op\":\":upsert\",\"subject\":\"PO 4\","

    +"\"to\":\"sapuser\",\"from\":\"Umer Farooq\",\"read\":\"false\",\"priority\":\"true\","

    +"\"body\":\"MATCH:SUP_MWF,TaskID:TS97200152, WIID:27057, USER:sapuser*#END#*\""

    +"}";

    Please note that Sybase Mobile Workflow for SAP Business Suite works in a WF-DCN Without Payload. So you have to pass the Workflow ID, WIID in above URL, that should already be generated in your SAP System. You can see already generated workflow IDS from the following SAP table "SWWWIHEAD"

    After a month long Struggle, we are still facing an issue with getting the RECIPIENT for the generated workflow that i POSTED separately over here.

    http://scn.sap.com/thread/3279954

    The Technical document provided was a real good but there is a lack of Community Support on this part.

    I hope the above mentioned points help some body and instead of Month, should be able to do it in days.

    Regards,

    Umer Farooq
