TRANSPORTING OBJECTS FROM QA TO PROD SYSTEMS

Hi  Experts,

This is the first time iam transporting the objects from QA to PROD. We have used ABAP PROXY,IDOC,SOAP adapters for building up all the interfaces.So please guide me how to move ESR and ID objects to PROD system.Are there any prerequisites to be done before moving them in to the PROD system.Iam using FILE TRANSPORT SYSTEM to transporting these objects.

Hi,

As you are doing the transpors via File mechanism..

1. Ensure all the SLD objects are transported first.

i.Technical & Business systems

ii. Product & Software components.

2. Import ESR objects and then finally ID Objects.

May be you can think of moving to CTS Plus rather than File Mechanism.

One more thing for ID objects you need to create target transport group for business sytem.

Hi,

You have to verify that the PROD systems are created in the SLD, and the transport rules between SLD QA systems and SLD PROD systems are also created. Maybe you don´t need to do this, because you only are using Business Components in the ID....

After that you can export the objects from ESR and ID and import them in PROD.
