CO:Report Painter - Variable created in formula variable is not however numeric

Dear Experts,

I've recently tried creating a report painter (CCSS) and below are some of the specfications;

  • It's a 12 month/period report by columns
  • ZPERXXX - Periods has dynamic selection using formula variables. User wanted to have a combination of actual periods + plan periods (e.g. 6 month actual + 6 month plan)
  • ZVERXXX - Plan Version has dynamic selection using formula variables. Actual is only in version 0. User has the option of choosing which plan version.

The problem is, upon generating the report it prompts an error "Message no. GS754 - Variable ZVERXXX is used in a formula variable. The current value of variable ZVERXXX is not however numerical.

This only occurs if the plan version selected is alphanumeric.

Appreciate if any help that could possibly make this work or any workaround.

Thanks.

Regards,

Yaamin

Hi Waman,

     I've implemented note 806570 but still system is giving the error message

"Variable ZVERXXX is used in a formula variable. The current value of variable ZVERXXX is not however numerical."

Is there anything else need to be done or change?

Thanks.

Syed
