Dear Experts,
I have created alert in ECC in Tx RZ20.Created the method (Auto Reaction Method) using Tx RZ21, assigned it to the alert and insterted my mail id.
Even though there are no entries in the alert, I am regularly receiving the alerts.
The entries which are in the mail doesnt belong to my customised alert.
Any idea why this happening?
Regards
Rebecca
Hi,
How did you configure the autoreaction method for mail?
Did you copy CCMS_OnAlert_Email or CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 to a custom method?
Double click on the method(s) with your email address and do a where-used.
Is the method used in multiple MTEs?

Hi,
Yes when I created the method ZECC_PIQueue_AlertMails by copying the method CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2.
The where used list shows the previously deleted Nodes which was assigned to monitor set.
What do you suggest !!!
1.To create new method and new monitor set
or
2. Can you suggest how to remove the unwanted nodes assigned to this nodes?
Only in the Auto Reaction , the email address is maintained.
Suggest me the best possible way to get rid
Regards
Rebecca
You did not mention what parameters you used for your custom method
Hi Nelis,
Your suggestion to put the alerts for RED/YELOW severity was a nice one. But my issue is little different.
I am still receiving the alerts for the nodes which was deleted long back. These deleted nodes has entires which
is not needed.
I had used the following parameters
SENDER DABADMIN
RECIPIENT U
RECIPIENT-TYPEID recebcca.alice@abuatonline.com
REACT_ON_ALERTS RED
SUBJECT_ALERT Alerts
SUBJECT_ALERT_CONT Please do not reply
Tnx
Rebecca
Those previously deleted nodes you refer to shown in the where-used list above, are you sure they have in fact been removed ? If you go to RZ21 and under Methods select "Methods assigned to select MTEs" then choose Display Overview. Are any of the methods you deleted displayed there ? These will be locally assigned autoreaction methods and if they are listed you can change it to not execute a method.
Nelis
Hi Rebecca,
I understand that you created a custom monitor set where you assigned some MTEs to?
The autoreaction method is assigned to the MTE and has no link with the monitor set.
So if you delete the monitor set the MTEs with autoreaction are still active... You should check them each and remove the method where needed on the Auto-reaction tab.
Also, are you sure that you don't have alerts? The screenshots you show above with green entries is the method allocation overview. What do you see if you choose Views-> Current status or Views->Open Alerts?
Rgds,
Jeroen
