Hi experts,
how many days should i assign in interval for call objects for a monthly plan.
Does it override the call horizon?
Also if the scheduling period for a maintenance plan is 1 yr, then after one yr i need to create a new plan for the same equipment or I need to change the scheduling period through IP02.
Regards
I mean interval for call objects in IP 30 for background processing.

Hi Thyagarajan,
Thnx for the quick reply but I have a query.
I have scheduled the background job for every 24 days for the monthly plans and I am keeping interval for call objects 32 days , n call horizon is 90. is that the right way....
Also If i have an order scheduled on 30th and call is on 27th. and my background job is scheduled on 1st with interval for call objects, 32 days. order will be called on 1st or on 27th.
Regards,,,
Scheduling period need not be changed. After 1 year is complete you do not need to create a new maintenance plan nor change the scheduling period. Just through IP10 you have to make a new start of the cycle.Ultimately new schedule calls for the maintenance plan be made. So if your scheduling period is 365 days and cycle is of 1 months 12 new calls will be available for the maintenance plan.
Call horizon - This is to advance the order creation (for resource planning). If you mention 10%, order will get due on 27th day from the starting date.
Interval for Call objects - This is to check the due dates for the given duration from the current date. For example, if you have monthly maintenance. Start date is 01-07-2012. If you run IP30 on daily basis, system will check from the current date to 90 days. Whatever order gets due till that date, will get generated (and released if you mention release immediately)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If the maintenance team accepted to go with existing plan for enquing year as well, they can extend the scheduling period in IP02. If there are major changes & want to keep the history of maintenance plans, then you can create new plan with accepted changes (changing task list, strategy, sort field, and many more)
