actually we got an error when installing kernel patch from the systemt. so what is the way to Upgrade Kernal and Support packeges for SAP ERP6.0 EHP5 AS Abap.

kernel --> use the correct one Find correct release. If you are using standard installation kernel then most probably you are using 720_REL. download it from marketplace search for 720 kernel for your platform (Operating system(Unix,linux,windows), database version(DB2,MSSQL,Oracle,etc) processor version(powerpc, x86_64, IA64,etc). for the procedure follow the link from jamil. remember to backup your system first.

Support package --> generate via solman (choose SP Stack) and download them and apply them via SPAM. again backup your system first.
