Universe design- excel giving incompatible object type error

Hi All,

I have created a universe using excel file using ODBC connection. However when I try to create the the measure system is giving an error saying in compatible object types. This happens only for the columns which got values with decimal points. Is there any way to fix this issue. I tried to changed the type as character on measure property still it is not working. I also tried the convert function but its giving error on data types. Has anyone come across this situation.

Hi Jo,

Which version you are using?

I think you have the the data in text format in excel. Change it to number format then it will work. It won't work if you change data type in BO.

And, Convert function should work, but check if you have any alphabets in excel data (other than numbers)
