How to make RAIP1-PRNAM required in PM/CS?

As a requirement, our client wants to make the status of the field Investment Program (RAIP1-PRNAM) required in transaction IW32 in PM/CS. You can find this field in IW32 via ‘Goto’, ‘Assignments’, ‘Investment program’. The CS order has been regarded as an investment order.

We have found some customizing for WBS-elements where we can change the field status of this specific field via transaction OBUK. The changes in this customizing table do not lead to the required result.

Anybody has a suggestion how we can make this Investment Program field in IW32 required?

    Hi,

Have you read note 370254 and followed the instructions here ?

If so could you please ensure that you have entered the level with no leading zeros, that

    is, as " 1" rather than "001".

Please note, you should enter ' 1' instead of 001 in the level and similarly ' 2' instead of 002. It should be space space 1 or space space 2.

In OPUK, you can customize fields for a single influencing field. If you have maintained some fields mandatory for a project profile, it will be mandatory for all WBS elements irrespective of the level.

If you have maintained mandatory field for level 1 then it will be mandatory for all WBS elements of level 1 irrespective of the profile. The influencing fields cannot form an AND condition; that is, when both

are satisfied then only it will be mandatory. This is not true.

    regards

    Waman

      Hello Waman,

      Thank you for your answer.

I don't think WBS elements will help us in this situation. Our situation is not about projects containing WBS-elements. Instead, we are working on customer service orders in PM and CS. Naming WBS was a way to explain what we did and to which screen field it is related.

We have found some customizing settings concerning an 'Investment Management Assignment Key' (IMAK) in PM and CS. In SPRO: Plant Maintenance > Functions and Settings for Order Types:

      - Define Transfer of Project or Investment Program

      - Define Relevant Fields for Assignment of IM Program

      - Assign IM Assignment Key to Order Types.

However, these settings do not give the desired result.
