SAP E-Recruiting Authorization Errors

Former Member

Hi all, i've an urgent query on the basic setting up of the E-recruiting.

i have deployed the Business Functions 4 and also Package for SAP Recruiter 1.51.

In Portal all the tabs and links appeared. however most of the links when i click on displayed 'You are not authorized to execute the transaction'.

I've assigned the Recruiter Role in Portal and also in the backend i've assigned all available SAP_RCF* roles, as well as sap_all.

Please advise if the issue is an authorization one and how i could solve it please ?

My landscape is such that it is a single instance (both ECC and Erec sits in 1 server).

Many many thanks !

Hi Koh,

SAP e-Recruiting works a bit different compared to other modules.

eRec requires that all users to have a candidate object assigned and a email assigned.

You can use program (SE38) RCF_CREATE_USER to generate a candidate for your user (Only for test purposes and WF-BATCH user!!!) - check HRP1001 afterwards and see how the relationships are connected to get a better understanding of how it works.

In a live system HRALXSYNC will ensure that objects are created and kept in sync, but I would highly recommend you reading the materiales on e-Rec as understanding the relationships is very important and you will run into issues were understanding this will help you a lot.

Hope this get you started.

Good luck

Dear all, especially to Holst, thanks the issue is solved now. I had to run the program as mentioned above RCF_CREATE_USER and before that i needed to set up application Area under Financial

Financial Accounting (New) -> Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable -> Basic Functions -> Application Area

After that the program runs successfully and i get the screens required.

The error message from SAP leaves much to be desired as it's obviously NOT an authorization issue (at least not from a PFCG point of view).

Hi Koh,

The authorization values and objects are different for 'Recruiter" role in EHP3, EHP5 and EHP6. Make sure you have the right recruiter role based on the enhancement package you are in.

Another small check which you might have verified already - make sure you have the right IT105 and Subtype 0001 (i.e. Recruiter).

Thanks
