SAP PO Release strategy

Dear All,

Our client has gone to a new release strategy which is working fine in PO's.

But in old release strategy PO's, released status not appearing in the old Po's which are blank in the release strategy tab.

But our client want to see the status in the release strategy tab which are released too.

How this can be achieved?

Dear Balaji,

Are you modifying the old Release strategy and to get the new one.Or are they two different strategies.

X and Y.

If there are two different strategies then waht exactly is not visible  on the Po release strategy tab.

Dear Lalita,

Let's keep, Old release strategy is X and new release strategy is Y.

The release status and release codes not visible in old PO's in PO Release strategy tab in header.

But release codes and release status can be seen in new release strategy PO's.

Client want to see the same in old Po's also which is blank now.

Please advice.

You mean to see all PO's that have the Old release strategy donot have a release code and release

status updated.

Did you check the consistency for the stratagies?

  Check with the release group. U may have deleted the earlier assigned entries..

SAP validates customizing before it shows values from the tables in ME23N.

if the customizing is not available anymore it will not show the values.

please do a SE16 at table EKKO

are the values in these fields empty for your old POs?

Are they different from the screen in ME23N?   :

FRGGR    Release group           

FRGSX    Release strategy          

FRGKE    Release Indicator         

FRGZU     Release status

Hi Jurgen,

In table EKKO, values available as per ME23N in old PO's which are released ,but Code, Description and Status not appearing in old PO's which are released.

I have deleted the old released strategies in configurations as release strategy inconsistent found during implementation of new release strategy.

Please advice.
