MDG-M Change material issue

Hi,

I come across 2 issues with respect to Change Material option.

1) PFB the image, in "Change Material" how to populate all material available in ECC?

It throws error "Enterprise search Connector for object type material is not available"

but see I have defined that for material BO Type "194".

The second issue is

2) Using "Change material" after I do changes for a material, in the activation step I get the below error.

I get this error for all material types.

PFB my number range for all materials.

Hi Arun

1. if you are using MDGM on EHp6, please try to activate the Search template MATERIAL and MDG_MATERIAL within ESH_COCKPIT.

You might find it under MDG_APPL (or SAP_APPL)vnode instead of PLMWUI as in case of EHP5 system. You need to activate the same.

This should resolve your first error. But before you configure this, please do not forget to activate the TREX settings as specified in the SAP help link.

2. Since your Enterprise search seems to not configured, your application is looking at different location for material search and also bringing up the validation conflocts related to Material number and material types.

Please try point no 1 and then let us know if you still get second error.

otherwise shortcut to check for the error number 2 is to go in the MM03 and check the relevant material for its material type and you will understand the issue.

Accordingly you can check your search application configuration for your data model and entity type Material.

This issue might be to to issue with ESH Search please refer to Set Up Search in Material configuration.

2) Using "Change material" after I do changes for a material, in the activation step I get the below error.

the combination of Material and material type might not be valid,Hance Validation is failing,Please select a valid Material type.

Have you setup TREX with MDG ? It looks like you have not. TREX is mandatory for MDG-Material
