Problem with result rows

Hi Gurus ,

I have a query where result rows of keyfigures are showing diffrent result when drilldown removed for characterstics . I tried by giving refrence of char in aggreagation tab but it is not solving my problem.

I have

source id

person

service order

equipment

maint activity type in rows   and  formula in coulumn.

I having problem with Main activity type , the results  rows for main activity type is not correct when i set to summation for keyfigures . pLease guide me .

Also please see the below example which could be another reason for error in result row.

Material     Plant     Price     Qty     Inventory Value(Price * Qty)

A               SW1     10          2          20

A               DW1     12          5          60

RESULT                 22          7          80

If you remove the plant characteristic from report

Material     Price     Qty     Inventory Value(Price * Qty)

A              22          7          154

RESULT    22          7          154

The result when Plant characteristic is removed is absolutly wrong. So you have to realise which characteristics are important in the report and warn the user to not to remove them from report.

The keyfigures ar cummulative keyfigures . Do you think the cummulative key figures behave same the above example?

Main activity char is only having text  and no attributes it   ...does it make diffrence in report when it is drill down .

Hi

In the scenario mentioned, Material and Plant are key and both need to be in report when you are using formula variables.

Is Main Activity just a data field or part of the key?
