SAP NetWeaver '04 Installation - No DVD with label: MAXDB:*:RDBMS:MAX DB:*

Hi,

I need to install SAP Enterprise Portal on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 3 for development reasons. I have the SAP NetWeaver 04 SR1 MSSQL Installation Kit with about a million DVDs and CDs.

DVD 51030843 NW 04 SR1 Installation Master

DVD 51030724 NW 04 SR1 SAP Web AS JAVA

DVD 51030125 RDBMS MSSQLSRV 2000

...

I figured I would need only the first three (51030843, 51030724, 51030125) to install SAP Web AS - J2EE System on a single host (Central instance, central services

instance, and database instance of the SAP Web AS J2EE system are installed on a single host).

I started the installation routine by running sapinst from Installation Master DVD (directory: <dvd>/IM09_LINUX_32/SAPINST/UNIX/LIUX_32).

On the initial dialog I was asked what system I want to install. I chose the standalone Java system with the MaxDB database on the same host, using default values (

SAP Installation Master --> SAP NetWeaver '04 Support Release 1 --> Java System MaxDB --> Central System --> Default Installation – Java System).

I ran smoothly through the installation of the Java System, using the NW 04 SR1 SAP Web AS JAVA DVD (51030724).

I was stuck when asked for the RDBMS DVD. I looked through my stack of DVDs but I could not find a DVD that contained MaxDB. The only RDBMS DVD I have is RDBMS MSSQLSRV 2000 (51030125) and of course when I tried this it gave me an error message:

Found the label MSSQL:8.0:DVD_RDBMS:MS SQL Server 200:D51030125 but need the label MAXDB:;RDBMS:MAX DB:

Well, due to the SAP NetWeaver `04 SR1 Product Availability Matrix(PAM), I know that there is no way to combine Red Hat EL 3(IA-32) and MS SQL Server 2000. But I thought that MaxDB is availably for free and will be shipped with any NetWeaver Edition. Obvious, I was wrong!

<b>My Question: Where can I get the RDBMS DVD for MaxDB 7.5?</b> Is it possible to download it? (Possibly SAP service marketplace?). I need to find out fast. I appreciate any kind of help!

Cheers

Martin
